In the afternoon, campers apply these skills while fishing at a variety of locations including a local trout pond, a mountain brook trout stream, the historic Batten Kill River, warmwater lakes and bass ponds, and a visit to the American Museum of Fly Fishing in Manchester, Vermont. Throughout the week, campers learn how to target different fish species, understand aquatic insects and fish habitat, and develop respect for conservation and responsible angling. The camp concludes with a friendly fishing challenge and celebration of the skills learned during the week.
